Our Learning Approach
Don't just learn the language ~ live it!
We get you to live the language rather than just learn it. Whatever your level, you'll get the chance to use the language from the very beginning through real life activities and assignments.
You'll be immersed in a series of short, snappy situations and discussions. The aim is to help you improve your communication skills very quickly, by boosting your confidence and making the sessions lively and varied.
Learning in the real world
By staying small, we’re able to work closely with our trainers and create highly personal, innovative training programmes which make full use of modern communication tools and the wealth of resources available in cosmopolitan, multi-cultural London. Occasionnally, we like to take the learning out of your office or the training room and into the real world. So don't be surprised if you find yourself doing part of your course on your company's trading floor, in a video room, at a professional exhibition or even in a French café.
A course centered around you
You'll also be following a programme which has been designed especially for you: one which meets your professional needs, covers topics which interest you and fits in with your own learning style . And we mean it - there's nothing worse than being promised a tailor-made programme, only to find it's off the shelf.
That means we need to find out a bit about you. We do this through a professional questionnaire which allows us to assess all your work-related needs and a personal questionnaire, which will enable us to gather material on subjects which interest you.
The result is a highly personalised programme which is relevant, rewarding, and fun.
Rich resources and effective materials
Far from the conventional classroom
Cosmopolitan, multi-cultural London provides almost limitless scope for language learning and rest assured we (and you) will be exploiting it to the full.
It is all about you
You'll also see how far we've come since that dry, crusty old textbook you may have used at school. The resources and materials you'll be using are lively, varied and authentic. From your own company's documentation and literature, to newspaper and magazine articles, to menus and timetables,
to excerpts from radio and television programmes and, of course, the telephone and the internet.
Cultural exchange
We want you to develop the language and a cultural understanding of the target country as it is now.Likewise, we think it's important for you to be able to talk about different aspects of your own country and town or city, whether that's simply factual or social, cultural and political.
We hope this gives you a little foretaste of our approach- why not come and try the whole thing?
